Transition to GSCP
The new Government Security Classifications Policy (GSCP) was finalised by Francis Maude, Minister for the Cabinet Office in December 2012; it rationalises the current six tier model to just three, and introduces new security classifications of: OFFICIAL, SECRET and TOP SECRET. The policy was launched in October 2013, giving Departments, Agencies and their suppliers just a few months to finish transition planning to meet the go-live date of April 2014.
As an organisation that believes that information security and assurance are simply part of the overall business process of any organisation, Auriga Consulting Ltd is ideally placed to assist our customers with transitioning to the new classifications policy. Auriga can provide your organisation with a complementary team of CLAS and CESG Certified Professional (CCP) consultants, Business Analysts and Technical Architects, to help you begin transition planning, assist with transitioning or develop more effective working practices.
Auriga have engaged GSCP experts, involved in the initial development of the new classification policy, in order to develop an industry leading, expert and unique transformation service and to help your organisation move forward seamlessly into the new classification.
Although this change will predominantly affect Central and Local Government, it is anticipated that adoption of the GSCP will affect private sector suppliers too from all areas of business.
